Friday morning we went shopping at Jusco, a department store and mall. We found some Christmas cards (cost up to ¥1500, about $15), ate at the food court and let the kids play in this massive children's area. In just about every food court and most restaurants I've seen there's a sink to wash hands in the middle of the eating area. Even the McDonald's on base has a small sink set off to the side to wash hands. At Jusco they have the sink and a water dispenser too.
And the funniest brand name of diapers I've ever seen...

I bought those diapers! My computer has been down a long time, you've updated quite a bit!
I love getting your blog and the pictures you add to it. I feel like I'm experiencing Japan right there with you, yet I'm in the States !!!! keep it going. I look forward to the each and every blog you enter.
Born and raised in Kensington, Connecticut, married to a Naval officer/"Ring Knocker" and mother to two girls ages 5 and 3 1/2. Bob is stationed at Yokosuka [CFAY] 横須賀, Japan. The Navy has moved us (in the following order) to Annapolis, Maryland; Charleston, South Carolina; Balston Spa, New York; Groton, Connecticut; Kings Bay, Georgia; Pearl Harbor, Hawaii; back to Groton, Connecticut; back to Pearl Harbor, Hawaii and now Yokosuka, Japan...we'll see where else it takes us, but for now I'm just going with the flow and enjoying every minute of it. Love taking pictures of my daughters, writing, baking and am a sponge when moving to new places.
